After winding your way through the forest you come out into a clearing and this gigantic 22m high concrete bunker appears before you. It has 2.5 acres of concrete built by the nazis (and their prisoners) between 1943 and 1944. The allied forces made 25 raids on this fortress to try and destroy it once they became aware of it and what it was built for.
